Windows 10: Cannot shutdown because task are running......

Discus and support Cannot shutdown because task are running...... in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; When this message appears during shutdown, clicking the cancel button to return to the tasks does not work.     When this message appears during shutdown, clicking the cancel button to return to the tasks does not work. The Computer continues with shut down.

    Windows 10 will not shut down due to a phantom app that cannot be stopped

    Hi, I am running Windows 10 64 bit version 1709 as the result of a big update a few days ago

    Its now 14th December 2017

    Now shutdown fails because it says there is an app running that cannot be stopped.

    Task manager shows no apps running.

    The shutdown anyway option works OK

    I'm still having this issue. Cannot Shutdown Windows 10.

    Task Host is stopping background tasks.

    Is there any solution other than force shutdown?

    Please advise.
