Windows 10: Cannot Update Anything On Lenovo Thinkpad Error 0x80070005 everywhere!

Hi,


I am using a new Lenovo Thinkpad X1 2nd Gen and have been tried a variety of things to get Windows Update to work. I've been having trouble updating , and Update says


2020-01 Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems KB4497165 - Error 0x80070005


2020-05 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64 KB4552931 - Error 0x80070005

2020-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems KB4560960 - Error 0x80070005

2020-06 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems KB4561600 - Error 0x80070005


I've tried Troubleshooter - it often says there's a pending restart that needs to occur. When I restart and Update begins, it says it cannot complete updates and it's undoing changes. At other times when I have re-downloaded these updates from Windows Update Catalog, they continue to fail to install and troubleshooter cannot identify the problem.


Is it an access issue with permissions on the account? I'm listed as the administrator, but cannot seem to get the issue fixed.

Lenovo Recalls 208,000 ThinkPad Batteries

On March 1, 2007, Lenovo voluntarily recalled certain 208,000 9-cell lithium-ion batteries. These batteries were manufactured for use with ThinkPad notebook computers that shipped worldwide between November 2005 and February 2007. All ThinkPad R60, R60e Series, ThinkPad T60, T60p Series and ThinkPad Z60m, Z61e, Z61m, and Z61p Series with 9-cell 10.8V, 5.2 Ah batteries with part number FRU P/N 92P1131 are being recalled. All affected batteries will be replaced free of charge. Lenovo suggests those computers with defective units remove the battery and use the AC adaptor until a replacement has arrived.
