    Hello,


    I have tried many, many ways to fix this without success.


    I have a Dell XPS 13 9380: 16gb RAM, 1Tb SSD with over 500Gb free on main partition, Intel i7-8565U with standard configuration.


    Whenever I want to update to Windows 1903 and now 1909, I always end up failing the update at 28% with the error 08x007042B - 0x2000D


    I tried to update with Windows Update and with the ISO from the windows media creator - same process, same issue.


    What I tried already:

    1. Chkdsk my c:\

    2. sfc

    3. DISM

    4. Resetting the windows update database (C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 folder rename trick)

    5. Resetting the windows store apps and reinstalled all with powershell

    6. Run the windows update troubleshooter


    I tried to read the log files but they are beyond cryptic for me to understand and I don't know what to look for...

    Dell XPS 13 9333 - Windows couldnt not complete the installation, to install windows on this computer, please restart the installation

    According to Dell's official Windows 10 Creators Update page, the Dell xps 13 9333 is not listed as tested:

    You can try a manual upgraded as suggested in my previous reply using the ISO in addition to the 12 steps before upgrading.

    Windows 10 update 1909

    Hey,

    I've just clean installed windows 10. It is build 1803.

    Today awesome 1909 have launched. I want to update to 1909 but in settings it is showing me option to upgrade to 1809. My friend told me I have to upgrade to 1809, then 1903 and then finally 1909.

    I want to directly upgrade to 1909 without going through intermediate steps. How can I do this?

    Unfortunately all the solution you give I have already done multiple time,most of forum give that solution but it didnt work for me..Still 0x8007042B -0x2000D problem..
