Windows 10: Cannot update Windows 10 since install

I had a wiped laptop and installed Ubuntu on it, then installed Windows 10 in a separate partition. I have just realized that in the 1.5 years since then I have never updated Windows, I'm at version 1803. When I try to update Windows I get "2019-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4525237) - Error 0x80070002". I have been not having problems with Windows Defender updates.


I have checked that the system time was right, restarted the computer several times throughout this process, run the Windows Update Troubleshooter (Which showed that it had fixed several issues), run 'sfc /scannow' (which reported that it was able to fix several errors the first time, then showing no problems after running a 2nd time), run 'dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth' and run 'dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth' (which report no problems), deleted C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution (which caused no change), downloaded Windows 10 Update Assistant (Which opens a white window that doesn't do anything until I closed it after 10 minutes of waiting), and reset Windows Update as described here.


Can someone help me figure out what system has a problem and how to fix it?

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
