Windows 10: Cannot upgrade to 1903 from 1803

I'm having the same type of problem with the same error message, . I've been stuck at 1803 for a long time. Windows update keeps trying to update to 1809 but fails at the same point each time.


The error code is 0xC1900101-0x30018 (The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during SYSPREP_SPECIALIZE operation).



I'm reluctant to do a clean install if I can avoid it because of the rebuild time required, probably days, and not sure I can find all the licenses I would need either! I would really appreciate some pointers into figuring out where the problem lies so that I can do a successful update with apps intact.

Trouble Upgrading 1803 to 1903 - Fails to restart

I’m still running the UEFI tests (Someone stepped on the power cable pulling it out so lost a lot of time!)

It’s in loop until failure, but does that mean test never ends!?

Win 10 1803 to 1903 update

My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1903 a while back, but my Desktop running Win 10 version 1803

I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1903 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

Any thoughts, suggestions?
