Windows 10: Canon Pixma MG 6220 Navigator with Windows 10

Hi, I had issues with my wireless connection and removed and then re-downloaded the driver for the printer. Great! I can print from my laptop wirelessly again. I can not, however, get the scanner to work. I have downloaded the Navigator for Windows 10 but I still cannot get it to work. Error message is "MP Navigator EX corresponding to the printer you intend to use, may not be installed correctly. Reinstall MP Navigator EX, and then try again." So I tried again, rebooted the computer after doing the re-install and still get the same message. Called Canon Tech Support who was spectacularly unhelpful "this printer is no longer supported by phone or online" and I was given a website on which I cannot find an answer. Any suggestions from anyone? Thank you.

Please read the discussions on this thread. TonyaMcFalls has a different Canon PIXMA MG Series but with the same error message. See their workarounds on the issue and check if will work for you as well:
