Windows 10: Canon Pixma MP560: ink won't print on page but paper does run through the printer

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer and downloading the most recent driver, which I believe was released in 2015 so that is probably the one I already had. I was able to print one page but the problem returned: the pages run through but no ink prints on the page. Weirdly, the printer works with my husband's laptop but not mine. I would suspect the problem is my laptop, which I've only had for a month or so but I have been able to print successfully using this laptop before. Any suggestions?

• When do you get the message “Driver is unavailable”?
  
• Are you able to see the printer under Devices and Printer in Control Panel?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?
  

You can try setting the printer as default and attempt to print documents. Refer the steps from the article

If the issue persists, you may refer the steps mentioned in the article
