Windows 10: Canon Printer Scanner PIXMA MG6250 - scanner stopped working, reinstalled driver but no luck

Discus and support Canon Printer Scanner PIXMA MG6250 - scanner stopped working, reinstalled driver but no luck in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; So I have reloaded the drivers for the printer scanner several times.     Canon MG5350 scanner not working

    The scanner in my Canon Pixma MG5350 has stopped working - I get a message "U network scanner EX cannot be found. Re-install scanner driver". I have re-installed all the drivers from Canon but still not working.

    I have been in contact with Canon support who suggest that this is a windows problem and that even if I change my printer I will still not be able to scan.

    I am on window 10 version 1809 build 17763.134

    I would appreciate and help in resolving this issue

    Canon Pixma MP140 Printer/scanner

    I have had a Canon Pixma MP140 printer/scanner attached to my PC for years. Since I was 'invaded' by Windows 10 (I did not want this but it was installed while I was asleep one night) this printer has disappeared. I cannot find it on the printer/devises
    map. My HP Laser Jet is still there and works o.k. but I need the scanner.

    Where has it disappeared to?
