Windows 10: Can't access windows search, windows key doesn't work either. Cant click on anything in the...

Upon turning on my PC not a lot seems to work. as mentioned in the subject I cannot click on the windows search, I can click on it and the animation when i hover over it works but clicking it does nothing. also the windows key does nothing either. This is the same for task bar as well. Right clicking works on icon but upon selecting an option I want from the right click prompt window. nothing comes up. I also have an RGB keyboard which is set to one color but is now flashing an array of colors which mean that it has not saved my profile. I believe this has nothing to do with the keyboard software.


I feel a windows repair would hopefully fix this but i cannot get to the option what I can select this as the search isnt working and nothing i click opens up so am a bit stuck on what to do. Any help would be much appreciated

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 7 not genuine problem

It seems like that's an OEM windows copy, it will do that the every time you reinstall the OS. If you have the key, next time you see the "not genuine windows copy" click it and choose to activate by phone, everything else is pretty straight forward as it explains step-by-step. If it doesn't work, then its highly likely that you got a Pirate copy.
