Windows 10: cant activate win 10 pro

I have 2 computers with windows 10 licenses. One is win 10 home, the other is win 10 pro. Computer #1 originally had win 10 pro license installed, Computer #2 had win 10 home installed.

The problem arose when I tried to switch licenses. I did clean installs on both computers. Both installations went smoothly. I installed win 10 home product key on computer #2. I then upgraded computer #2 towin 10 pro with key I purchased (win 10 pro upgrade was purchased and installed on computer #1 originally). It upgraded computer #2 to win 10 pro successfully. A short time later , after computer #2 downloaded and installed updates, I got "Windows is not activated" "error code 0xC004C003"

When I check device status in my Microsoft account, Computer #1 shows "to be filled by oem". Computer #2 looks normal, it doesent show any sign of being unactivated?

I suggest that you use the TechNet forums for this particular issue. This forum is consumer-oriented (Win 10 Home, Pro). TechNet is IT oriented (Win 10, Pro, Enterprise, MSDN, Server 2012-R2, etc.).

Windows 10 Home or
Windows 10 Pro. Activation in Windows 10 will depend on how you got your copy of Windows.

Wins 10 pro becoming wins 7 pro

I am using wins 10 pro, but during end user activation it shows wins 7 pro

Any suggestion?
