Windows 10: Can’t Boot. Error 0xc0000225 and 0xc0000000f

So I was suffering from the 1903 Windows Update issue and that Intel RST Driver issue and I couldnt install the new driver for some reason. Googled for solutions and these sites kept telling me to go to system 32 and change “iastora.sys” to “iastora.old”. In hindsight that was dumb but I was desperate so I did it.


Now I cant boot my computer or enter any Safe Mode or Recovery Environment. What can I do? I keep seeing error 0xc0000225 and 0xc0000000f. It changes to either one of these when I turn on my laptop. When I try to press F8 or F1, the laptop just restarts.


My laptop is an LG Gram 15 2017 version.

I don’t mind installing a fresh version of Windows because I have no programs and photos and stuff on it. I just need it to boot normally.

0xc0000225 boot error

For some odd reason when I turned on my computer today, I was greeted with the error 0xc0000225 stating that my NLS files were corrupt/missing. I am Running Vista x64 and so far have tried the following:

Replace NLS files
Windows repair utility
Restored an old working registry backup
Tried booting with different ram configurations
Created new BCD / Boot
Chkdsk


Google suggests something about apci, but my gigabyte ud3p doesn't have such an option (already vista compatible) and it seems to only occur to people who are initially installing and not people who already have a working copy.

BSOD, boot error 0xc000000f and system registry error 0xc0000225


Hi, I may have messed up my Windows quite abit after trying to do system restore while having problems with my GPU driver, all I had to do was reinstall the driver but I did a mistake of starting system restore after running DDU.





After pressing Enter to try again





So this is what I did after searching stuff online, with pictures, in case it might help understanding my problem

I created a USB bootable media using rufus, and booted into it. I click into the UEFI:USB instead of the USB:USB because the latter did nothing and proceed to BSOD, while the first indeed boot into installation window.





Then I just proceed into the command prompt because startup repair did absolutely nothing.

I tried the bootrec.exe method because every tutorial I found lead to it, and did the steps carefully, but to no avail, it only returned to "the requested system device cannot be found" everytime after /rebuildbcd.





I also tried various other methods, but nothing worked, I dont know much about IT but after searching stuff, I suspect its because my windows partition is not GPT, while I boot up the media through UEFI so the USB media isnt working properly, is this the case?

This is the DISKPART log, see that my main drive where I install windows is not ticked as GPT
