Windows 10: Can't change Lock Screen

I can't add any pictures to my lock screens, I can switch from previous wallpapers but I can't add any slideshow folders or pictures, I've tried some easier methods but when I went into my registry editor and checked the Lock Screen Folder nothing was inside (except default) , I think that may be the issue but I cant do anything right now, if its any help it doesn't give me an error it just shows the loading circle and shows a blank gray screen, I've tried to wait for it to load over night but I don't think its a problem with time.


I don't remember when this happened but I think it was after a reset, I just lived with it for a long time so I don't remember the exact details but I think originally I couldn't change my wallpaper either but now it works.


As a side note I won't be able to check any reply's for a while and there may be long gaps in between if I reply so sorry if I don't respond for a long time

Lock Screen keeps changing

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Windows Spotlight picks the photos from Bing and displays them in the lock screen. I understand that you have set a picture and it is getting changed automatically.

I suggest you to follow the steps to select the Picture that you want to be displayed on the lock screen. Please follow the steps mentioned below to set a Picture to lock screen:

1. Press and hold Windows + I key on the keyboard to open settings.
   
2. Click on Personalization.
   
3. Click on Lock screen.
   
4. Click on the drop down under Background and select
   Picture.
   
5. Click on Browse and select the picture that you want to set.

unable to change the lock screen Wallpaper.

  What is the exact issue that you are facing?

  Are you facing issues while trying to change the lock screen Wallpaper?

  Are you not able to choose the directory where the wallpapers has been saved?
  

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to restart the computer and check if you are able to successfully change the lock screen wallpaper.

  From Desktop, right click and select
  Personalize.
  
• 
  In Personalization window, click on
  Lock Screen in the left pane.
  
• 
  And choose wallpaper you would like to apply for the lock screen by choosing the browse option.
  
• 
  Close the Personalization window.

Changing lock screen photos

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Navigate to Start>Settings>Personalization.
• In the left navigation pane, click on Lock screen.
• In the right pane, select Pictures from the drop down list under
  Background.
• Select the picture from the list or click on Browse to select your saved images and set as lock screen image.
