Windows 10: Can't configure Windows Hello as a passkey

In our organization we enabled in Microsoft Entra Admin Center the Passkeys FIDO 2 for all users. When we try to configure Windows Hello as Passkey we end up with notification:"Passkey not registeredWe were unable to register the passkey you attempted to add. Please try again.Note: If this passkey has been saved to your device, please delete it before trying again."We deleted all related passkeys before we tried to add Windows Hello again. 3 different people tried and none attempt was successful. The only Passkey we managed to configure was the Yubikey. Why we can't configure Windows He

I have a windows 11 pc and I want to create passkeys for google, microsoft and other sites. I read the Microsoft article that says there is an option to save the passkey locally on the pc, but when i go to create the passkey I don t see that option, instead i can only use another pc or a security key.

Is there any reason why i cant save it on my pc? What can i do to save the passkey locally to my device?

Passkey disappeared after changing PIN

I recently started using the Hello passkey feature to use a PIN to log-in to my HP Probook, Windows 11 Pro, and to log into one specific app that requires a passkey. It worked fine until I decided to change my PIN to make it longer.

After changing my PIN, the app I need to log in to stopped showing the option to use Hello to sign in (it only offers me the choices of mobile or USB passkeys - same thing when just now I tried to log into this Microsoft site with a passkey, didn't show the option of Windows).

And looking under passkey settings in Windows, it says I have no saved passkeys.

(I've seen in the help docs here that the Windows login itself should appear on the passkey, list...? But I don't even see that.)

Any way to recover this? The passkey would've been stored locally on my PC...? Can I find that file?

I was not signed into Microsoft ever on this PC. But I hope they don't just delete all passkeys because of a simple PIN change....?
