Windows 10: Can't connect to this network

Router: Airport Extreme 802.11 ac a/b/g/n/ac

PCs: Lenovo 1l, Toshiba 1....Systems: windows 10 home 1909

Lenovo tablet with wondows 8.1

At about 4pm on July 16 all PCs suddenly could not access the wireless network but the android phones and the Macs could.


We tried

rebooting the computers,

turning off then turning on wifi also did with airplane mode

foegetting and readding the connection manually

reinstalling, updating the wireless driver

resetting network back to factory settings

turning off ipv 6

manually entered security keys and passphrases

flush dns/ reset ipconfig

on one computer.. reinstalled windows which is now on OS build 18363.900


the two PCs had initially last connection with updates pending. The tablet hadnt been turned on on several months so it didn't have updates.


still "can't connect to this network"

PCs however can connect to wifi phone hotspots and can connect to the router through ethernet cable.


We are at a loss don't know why only the PCs are affected and not the macs or phones. Sorry for typos I have to type this by phone.

Can't connect to a network.

As you've mentioned, all your other devices were able to connect to the network except your computer. This issue may occur if there are other components that need to be configured properly or there are drivers that were not updated. To help you on this,

"Can't connect to this network."


I just bought a wifi card for my windows 10 desktop (a tp-link archer t8e) and cannot connect to my network.

I have the wifi icon on the tray, I can get a list of available networks but after entering the wpa key for my network it just shows the message "Can't connect to this network."

Network diagnosis just suggested connecting to a wifi network (why didn't I think of that...), does anyone here have any clue as to what the problem could be?

UPDATE: Just noticed that the wifi adapter is being disabled briefly just after I enter the network password, no idea what's going on.

 

Printer visible on network but can't connect

Well I had done all of the suggested steps but in wrong order. I updated router firmware, but still couldn't see printer. When I then reinstalled the new driver I had downloaded, it located the printer and all is now running fine. How complex this can get!
