Windows 10: Can't connect to web servers except google ERR_CONNECTION_FAILED but can connect through...

Randomly when running my PC, I will stop being able to connect to any website other than google. Applications work fine, but anything that connects to a web network in order to function refuses, even outside of google. My device is the only device on the network with this issue. Restarting my PC is the only thing that fixes this, but it inevitably happens again. I have tried:1. Resetting Network2. Updating adapter drivers3. Ethernet cable4. Bought a new adapter5. Cleared browser Cache and reset Browser6. Flushed DNS cache7. Turned off firewall8. Removed all browser extensions9. Reset Winsock10

Unable to connect to Google servers

There are cases that web content are blocked due to proxy server settings. We suggest that you remove the check mark on the the proxy server box, follow the steps below:

• Type Internet Options in the Ask me anything bar.
• Click on Connections tab.
• Click on LAN settings.
• Remove check in Proxy server box.
  

Once done, access your Google apps and check if issue persist.

W10 can connect to wider internet but cannot access web pages

I have an odd issue with my W10 laptop linked to Sky broadband in the UK via wifi using a Sky router. The effect is that while I can actually access the internet (I can send and receive emails using Outlook and can connect to other machines using TeamViewer) I cannot access any web site (Google, BBC etc). There is no specific error message, merely that the access request timed out and a suggestion that it may be to do with proxy. I have tried the following:

1. Other systems (W10 and ios) can access web sites using the same Sky router (therefore probably not a router problem)
2. I have sent and received emails using Outlook, so the broadband connection is working (probably not a Sky problem)
3. I have tried two different browsers (Firefox and Edge), no connection (not a browser problem)
4. I am using Windows Defender and have:
   1. Made sure that Firefox is in the list of allowed systems in its Firewall, no connection after a reboot
   2. Turned off the Firewall and tried again - no connection

My next step will be to re-install Windows, but has anyone got any other suggestions? Could it be some sort of virus (I have carried out a complete virus check using Defender) So - any suggestions?

 

GOOGLE NOT CONNECTING TO SERVER

I have a nokia lumia 1020 and i cannot access google on it...error message says 'unable to connect to server'....never had this issue before with google.....tried switching phone off and on again. signing in and out of gmail account. unistalling and re-installing
google.....still same problem...any suggestions please
