Windows 10: Cant disable HDR, I did enable it and monitor doesnt receive any signal anymore

Setup worked fine, with my laptop Lenovo X1, Windows 11 Pro build 22000.978 USB-C hub and my two external displays.But then I out of curiosity did chose to click on “enable HDR” and then my LG monitor stopped working, not receiving any signal anymore. I have googled and been reading a lot of articles. I have tried different cables and all other normal things like connecting the LG monitor directly to the laptop with HDMI etc.. I have also tried to delete the monitor in Device Manager and installing specific LG monitor drivers. Still same issue. I have tried Windows Update, Lenovo updat

Cannot Enable HDR

The HDR option does not appear in 'Display' settings.

I am using:

Intel UHD 630 Integrated Graphics

Cardas HDMI cable

LG 27UK650 Monitor

The LG monitor's HDR works with a Playstation 4 Pro and Cardas HDMI cable.

The LG monitor has no manual HDR setting. It only enters HDR mode when it receives proper signal, first.

Windows 10 only offers HDR setting when it receives proper signal from the display, first.

How can HDR be force-enabled on Windows 10?

I appreciate any help I can get on this.

1. New monitor (ASUS VGA1 series)

2. Windows 10 (older graphics card NVIDIA GEForce 1060)

3. Upon initial boot using new monitor, signon successful, windows fine

4. Used 'display settings' and enabled HDR.

5. Display went blank

6. Upon reboot Windows Logo appears then no display at all (HDMI No signal)

7. Connected old monitor ASUS VGA278

8. Windows reboot successful

9. Disabled graphics card in device manager

10. Reconnect to new monitor was successful

11. No way to turn off HDR because prompt does not appear in 'display settings'

12. Verified operation of monitor using another newer PC with newer graphics card.

It seems windows recognizes the incompatibility of the graphics card/HDR setting and does not allow the signal to pass to the monitor during the device recognition stage.

Cant find a way to turn HDR off. Any help?

Cannot enable HDR

I have recently updated to Windows 11, principally to use HDR.

Whenever I enable HDR, the PC loses video signal and I have to do a soft restart.

I have an AMD 3900X, 32 GB RAM, an EVGA 3090 with the latest drivers. My monitor/TV is a Sony A90J. Nothing is wrong with my PC or monitor/TV.

I have updated to Windows 11 with the latest updates installed.

The same issue occurred when I tried to enable HDR with Windows 10.

Any assistance in solving this would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
