Windows 10: Can't download arm windows insider preview

i tried to download windows for arm but can't


i'm using macbook air m1/safari browser


also tried windows 10/chrome, edge browser system but didn't work

Who's downloaded the Windows 8.1 preview update?

For some reason the installer says the update is not applicable to your computer? (Win 8 Pro x64) anyone else try this what was released today?

EDIT: It appears the error is because the download is named Windows8-RT-KB2849636-x64 so looks like it's only for ARM based RT Windows 8 versions even though there's nothing suggesting that on the actual download page, so where's the x86 8.1 update people?

I understand that you receive an error while trying to download Windows Insider Preview. I’ll certainly help you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• Are you trying to download the ISO file of Windows Insider Preview?
  
• What type of internet connection are you using i.e. wired or wireless?
  

Ideally, when you subscribe and setup the Windows Insider Program on your computer, the latest preview version is automatically downloaded through Windows Updates. You can refer the

Windows Insider Program User Guide to know more about the Windows Insider program.



If you wish to download the ISO file, you can get it from
Windows Insider Preview Downloads. If you receive any error while downloading, try using a different browser and check if that helps. You may also try connecting to a different network and check if the download proceeds.

Windows 10 Insider Preview Dev Build 20251.1 (fe_release) - Nov. 4 Insider

New fix:

• [UPDATE] We fixed the issue causing Windows PowerShell to fail to launch for Insiders on ARM PCs such as the Surface Pro X.

Moved from known to fix:

• Windows Insiders on ARM PCs such as the Surface Pro X will notice that Windows PowerShell will fail to launch on this build. As a workaround, please use “Windows PowerShell (x86)” or “Windows PowerShell ISE (x86)” from the Start menu if you need to use PowerShell. Or download the new and modern PowerShell 7 which takes advantage of ARM by running natively. Plus the icon is prettier. FIXED.
