Windows 10: Can’t find my TurboTax files since upgraded to Windows 11

I am unable to locate any past years turbo tax files. Never had issue but last month I upgraded to Windows 11

:)

 

Lost TurboTax apps after upgrade

  Do you have the backup of the TurboTax apps on your computer?
  
• 
  When you say “I assume the data is still there”, do you have the data stored in the TurboTax apps?
  

If yes, I suggest you to try reloading the apps and check if it helps in restoring the files.

Turbotax data files lost during upgrade from Windows 8.1 to to Windows 10.

As you said you have lost it during upgradation, I suggest you to go to
windows. Old file in C: and check for the TurboTax data files. If you are not able to find then there is no way to get it back.

Cannot run new or old installations of turbotax after upgrade to Win 10

This issue might occur if the turbotax application is not compatible to run on Windows 10.

I suggest you to try installing the turbotax in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Note: Applies to Windows 10 as well.



For the issue related to booting the system, I suggest you to perform startup repair and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

  Press and hold Shift key and
  restart your Computer.

  Select Troubleshoot.
  
• 
  Select Advance Option.
  
• 
  Select Startup Repair.
  
• 
  Follow the on Screen instruction.
