Windows 10: Can't find this teredo adapter in Device Manager

    Can't find this teredo adapter in Device Manager

    It doesn't show in device mangaer under network adaptations,

    It doesn't show under "add legacy hardware"

    Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter not Found

    Hi,

    It started off from teredo unable to qualify for Xbox connection.

    Then, I tried following tons of suggestions through showing hidden drivers in Device manager, changing DisabledComponents value to 0.

    However, I still cannot find Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter.

    I tried to install it by adding legacy hardware with all ways, but there was no Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter in the list of the Microsoft Network Adapter .

    Teredo Adapter missing in Device Manager

    What is the underlying issue that prompted you to look at Tunneling? Basically tunneling is only used by some printers

    This is a known problem if Zone alarm is installed. If you have it installed remove it at least to check

    To turn off Teredo tunneling interface 6to4 open an elevated command prompt and type

    netsh interface terredo set state disabled.

    To Re-install it

    • Click on Start.
    • Type Device Manager in search box and open it.
    • Click the Action tab at the top and click add legacy hardware

      then click next and next again it will then scan and find nothing click next on the screen after that.

      Wait a minute and you will see a list of hardware appear, scroll down and choose network adapters then click next, then from the left column choose Microsoft then in the right hand column scroll down and choose Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter, then click
      next and this will install it.

      To check just make sure it is set to show hidden devices, right click on device manager on the right and click view then show hidden devices.
    If there is no "add legacy hardware" option, you need to plug in the device that uses tunneling.

    Teredo Adapter Not Appearing in Device Manager

    When I go into device manager, I hope to see the Teredo adapter under Network Adapters. Its not there.

    If I try to install it from the "Add Legacy Hardware" wizard, that doesn't work either, as the adapter doesn't appear under the Microsoft section in the Network Adapter section. So, in that case, there is no way I can install or find the Teredo adapter.

    Can anyone find a solution? To me it seems like I'm alone with this problem. I would appreciate any help! Thanks!
