Windows 10: Can't get DTS or any surround sound.

Hello,I'm trying to connect my amplifier HTSS380 with the Acer Aspire XC-1780 i3-13000, uhd 730, Windows 11 using the Toslink Digital Optical Audio Cable or HDMI. The problem is I can't get DTS or any surround sound. Only stereo. I used a sound blaster ASUS XONAR SE 5.1 and Creative Sound Blaster Z when I connected to Toslink. Connect HDMI when using Intel UHD-730.I didn't have this problem with my previous Acer Veriton X275 with ATI Radeon HD 5450 HDMI and S/PDIF on the motherboard Toslink, Win 7. I had a DTS sound. Could you please help me.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

There are some reasons why you don't get the 5.1 surround sound. Some of these are caused by the type of audio format, how the file was encoded, if the file supports 5.1 surround sound and such. For us to determine what's causing
the concern more precisely, please provide information on the following:

• The type of file that you're trying to play.
• Troubleshooting steps done to rectify this concern

For now, before we go to a more in-depth troubleshooting, we suggest you run

audio troubleshooter. Look for Find and fix problems playing sounds.
