Windows 10: can't get out of safe mode

Hello,

I was having trouble with a usb drive and found a tutorial that suggested I go into safe mode to fix it. Due to there not being an F8 boot command screen any more I had to go into msconfig to change how the computer starts up.. which is now set to safe mode. So i'm in safe mode (on the other computer).. the problem is I cannot figure out how to reset it to start up in normal mode. The 'search windows' box at the bottom will not allow any text to be entered.. unless I can get to msconfig by looking for it in safe mode.. i'm stuck in safe mode. Anyone know how to get to msconfig in safe mode without typing it in? again the msconfig was changed to have the computer start up in safe mode.. it's now doing it every time.. even after a system restore to 4 days ago.

• How did you went to safe mode?

We suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps:

• 
  Press Windows key + R.
  
• 
  Type msconfig.
  
• 
  Go to boot Tab.
  
• 
  In the boot option uncheck the safe boot option and save it.

Can't get out of safe mode

I recently booted my computer into safe mode. I had done this several times on the same computer while it was running windows 8 without a hitch. Now that I've done it on windows 10 it won't let me leave. I unchecked the safe boot box, hit apply, then ok.
Choose to restart now when the window pops up, but then I just get a never ending "restarting" screen. What should i do?

 

type *Start + R to open a run dialog and then type msconfig in the box and press enter. That should do it *Smile
