Windows 10: Can't get past lock screen in windows 10

the lock screen is a solid green color where it'd normally be a picture, the time and date are shown as normal and I don't have internet access

when pressing the space bar instead it sometimes takes me to the login screen after a way longer period than normal, when entering my password nothing changes for like 10 minutes.

I've tried to boot to a drive that doesn't have installed on it anymore and it gives me access to the system recovery options, however none of these options seem to work. for example system restore gives the error 0x80071a91, then reboots and starts automatic repair again.

startup repair does not work either, saying startup repaur couldn't repair your pc. Reset this PC simply states there was a problem resetting your PC. no changes were made

when going into the cmd prompt it says not enough memory resources are available and starts in x:\windows\system32


I'm really not sure how to fix this, as I can't even figure out how to get reset windows if necessary and can't find anything online

I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen option as Windows Spotlight and check if it helps.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

4. Try to select Windows Spotlight from the list.
