Windows 10: Can't get start menu to appear transparent

    Can't get start menu to appear transparent


    I feel like I've tried everything at this point. Regedit tweaks, reinstalling the start menu, .theme files, etc. but the start menu just won't go transparent. Even the taskbar was able to. Any other possible options to fix this? Thank you!

    OS build 18363.1379
    I have not activated Windows, so all the personalization settings I've changed are through registry editor.

    Start menu icons are not transparent

    I was wondering is there a way to make the background 100%.

    I have followed these steps but it doesn't work.

    I guess it'll work in previous versions.

    I know there are programs that do this but I don't want to use any.

    Start Menu Not Transparent

    I have the exact issue. And YES, I have ensured that 'transparency effects' is ON in Colors settings menu.

    The task bar looks fine, its just the start menu that is no longer transparent.
