Windows 10: Cant get to bios from windows boot manager

Discus and support Cant get to bios from windows boot manager in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; Ill try to open my laptop later and then post result here....     Don't open until you have referred to the relevant pages within the service manual and feel 100% comfortable that you can complete the required actions competently. AND SAFELY!!

    *Ditto If you have never done it before. I'd just open up any quick access panels at first. Like the one for hard drive access etc. Removing the hard drive should get you BIOS access, there won't be any OS boot loader. If you do decide to remove the bottom cover, keep track of what screws come out of what holes. Some screws could be longer than others, putting them back in the wrong location will likely damage something in the process.

    One way to do it is to take out the hard drive (easy on a laptop) connect hard drive to desktop pc and install windows.

    Then put hard drive back in laptop at least you should then get the laptop to boot.

    According to the Users Manual F2 is how you get to BIOS:

    Does pressing Fn+F2 work perhaps.

    I was going to suggest that too. But then I thought, well, if you are taking out the drive, the RTC battery is often adjacent to or underneath it. So you might as well just pull the battery and be done with it.

    removing hard drive helped - i could then boot from usb / access BIOS - solved.
