Windows 10: Can't install fonts windows 10 pro

There doesn't seem to be a way to install fonts in windows 10. When I try to drag the font file into the fonts folder I get a red circle with a cross. I the only option to add fonts is from the microsoft store which basically has no font options.

Installed font not showing in Windows 10 Pro

Hi Greg -- I am not trying to change fonts, I am trying to add a font my team purchased. I have the file on my computer and I installed it. But it is not showing up in the font list on Windows 10 Pro control panel. When I search for it the fonts search
bar -- it does not show up. When I search in the Windows command line it does not show up. When I drag and drop the font file into the control panel font list, a pop up window says "this font is already installed, do you want to replace" and I clicked "yes"
and the font is still not there

 

Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.

I have installed a font on Windows 10 Pro and it is not showing up in the font list in control panel. Copying the font file into the font folder does not work because I get a pop up window that says the font is already there do I want to replace it. But
it does not show up in the folder. It does not transfer to Adobe XD where I need to use it.
