Windows 10: Can't install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x86 Minimum Runtime

As the name implies, I am unable to install Microsoft Visual C+ + Redistributable 2022 x86 Minimum Runtime because whenever I do, it always ends with "0x80070652 - Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install." However, when I clear my temporary files folder in order to facilitate a new install, the same error code comes up. And when I try to install in on steam, it takes a very long time and then gives the same error code.I am bashing my head against my desk, what can be done to fix this?

Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package (x86) install fails

The software is buggy. If later versions of MS Visual C++ runtimes are installed it fails to detect them and tries to install earlier versions which breaks those MS Visual C++ runtime installations.








Allowing the install to continue doesn't allow those runtimes to install (because you can't install an earlier version over a later version) and it breaks the already installed versions. (They now show as 0 bytes)

I cannot test to see if the program will run (I suspect that it won't work anyway) as I don't have MS Office.

Suggest:

Remove those two VC++ Runtime versions if they already exist and reboot. Then try running the Dymo installer and see if it will install the earlier versions of VC++

Hi Grayson, download the troubleshooter from:

Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed - Microsoft Support

Note: if downloading it with Edge, you will need to click the 3 dots next to the warning and select Keep.

When you run it, select that you are having trouble uninstalling. Then from the list of programs to uninstall, select Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 X86 Minimum Runtime

When that completes, exit the troubleshooter. Run the trouble shooter again but this time select to uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 X86 Additional Runtime

When that finishes, you should now be able to install the redistributable without error.
