Windows 10: Can't install MS Media Features Pack

I tried to install Apple iCloud on my PC and it said that I needed the MS Media Features Pack. So I downloaded from Microsoft the relevant Media Features Pack but it won't install. It says this Update is not applicable to your PC. My PC is running Windows 10 Pro (64bit) will all the latest upgrades and patches. Version 1809 (OS Build 17763.379). I chose to download and run the following feature pack: Windows_MediaFeaturePack_x64_1809Oct - it seemed the most appropriate. I did also look at the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Set Up where there should be perhaps Windows Features and Windows Media Features? Any ideas on why I cannot install or ensure the Media Features are installed correctly so that I can install Apple iCloud on my Windows 10 PC? Thanks.

Problem with Media Feature Pack.

When I follow these steps Media Features are not listed, despite having downloaded and installed the Windows Media Feature Pack! Please help! Can't install GTA: V! Aaaargh!

 

Problem with Media Feature Pack.

I seem to be running into similair issues. After the update, features reliant on the Media Pack stopped functioning correctly, so I reinstalled the pack, which did not have any effect. After following your steps, I noticed that the Media Feature Pack was
not even listed as a feature on my PC. Further help would be highly appreciated!

I have the same problem. When I try to install KB 3099229, I get "Feature Pack for Windows (KB3010081) is already installed on this computer".

I followed your steps above, but KB3010081 is not listed under "Installed Updates".

(Problem appeared after I upgraded from Win 7 N x64 (with Media Pack installed) to Win 10.)
