I have got the error 0x800700C1 and could not update KB3115259, KB3167685, KB3163018 & KB3149135 since a week ago. I tried both you two methods but the result was the same. I don't wish to follow hbja to go back to "Factory Setting". Can you help me sort
it out with other solutions?

I have tried everything suggested, including installing Windows media creation tool to resolve the continuous cycle of Microsoft can't install important security updates until most current version of Windows 10 is install followed by Something went wrong
(error code: 0x800700c1). Over and over at least 3 times a day, day after day, with no resolution. For months.
