    Can't Install windows 10 from UEFI usb drive (Digital signature couldn't be verified)


    When i'm trying to install windows 10 download from mediacrationtool using UEFI bootable usb, it just gives me a BSOD telling me that the digital signature couldn't be verified. I've tried redownloading windows installer and formatting the usb drive several times, but it didn't change anything. What should I do?

    Hi there,

    I need help installing windows 10 from a usb drive. I have downloaded iso files several times from the Microsoft website, and made the usb using Rufus tool for UEFI BIOS system. But everytime upon boot I get this error.

    The digital signature for this file couldnt be verified

    Error Code 0xc0000428

    My system has Biostar TB250-BTC PRO motherboard and Intel dual core cpu.

    As far as I know, Windows can only be installed on GPT via UEFI if Windows is booted by a USB device (thumb stick, USB DVD drive, etc.). SATA DVD drives did not work for me. Windows setup is not obvious about if it is running on UEFI or BIOS. The only way to be sure is that, under BIOS, Windows will refuse to install on GPT.
