Windows 10: cant install windows updates getting error 0x800f0988

when im trying to install any update on my PC, it will always throw 0x800f0988 at me, i even tried the command prompt trick and the manual update from the windows update catalog, but it will refuse to install


any solutions? its beginning to really annoy me, it even happens with the optional updates as well
