Windows 10: can't intall IEEE Win 10

I followed the steps to install IEEE for Windows 10. But the installation step did not see the IEEE Driver appear in the Control panel including x86 and x64 versions. Please help me, why the installed driver does not appear in the Control Panel as instructed ??

IEEE Forms Study Group to Explore Next-Generation IEEE 802.3 BASE-T

IEEE, the world's largest professional association advancing technology for humanity, today announced the formation of the IEEE 802.3 Next-Generation BASE-T Study Group. The new group is designed to measure industry interest and needs in the next generation of the IEEE 802.3 BASE-T family of technologies for Ethernet transmission over twisted-pair cabling.

IEEE 802.3 BASE-T technologies typically utilize server-uplink data rates of Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet today, but platform transitions and systems innovation on all fronts are driving new networking requirements.

“Because of the ability of current IEEE 802.3 BASE-T technologies to interoperate with legacy versions via the standard’s ‘autonegotiation’ feature and thereby support cost-effective infrastructure upgrades, extension to 40 Gigabit Ethernet and higher speeds will be required in coming years,” said Bill Woodruff, chair of the IEEE 802.3 Next-Generation BASE-T Study Group and associate product line director with Broadcom. “IEEE 802.3 BASE-T continues to be one of the most successful technologies within the greater IEEE 802.3 family, and our new study group will gauge the timing and needs of extending the standard to support industry needs for server connectivity and other applications.”

ieee 1394 driver absent

Thanks guys.

To start with, IEEE controller was not showing in the device list.

I was able to install the driver package from where Jim had suggested.

However now windows says the driver is up to date but its not working and shows Error 10 (see screen shot), What next?. There was one workaround available in the forum on tweaking regedit but it seems to be not applicable to me

 

Unable to install IEEE 1394 legacy driver on Windows 10

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

1. Since when are you facing this issue?
   
2. Have you recently made any changes on the device prior to this issue?
   
3. Which version of Windows Operating system is running on your device?
   
4. Is your computer connected to domain network?
   

This issue might be occurring possibly due to below mentioned reasons.

1. It seems like you do not have the IEEE 1394 Host Controller plugged in properly, otherwise Windows would be able to detect it (and show "Unknown Device").
   
2. Windows installed the wrong driver, thus it is appearing in a different name thus you can't use it.
   

What I would suggest is, download the IEEE 1394 Host Controller device from the manufacturer's website, and run the Setup file there. It should replace the wrongly installed driver.
