Windows 10: Can't log into Cortana

    I can't sign in either.

    I think it's a product, for me, of having a domain account (Server 2012 r2) with a MSFT account attached within it.

    All of the apps keep dropping my login, and re-ask me every time I open them (well, I notice the account is not signed in, then go to it and have to select the only MSFT account there).

    Cortana is different. With this I get the 'One last thing...' dialogue, and then the sign in box. I sign in, and get a <account> is already here message with a text box. Typing in the text box shows dots, as if its a password, clicking 'Next' takes me back to the 'you need to sign in' Cortana dialogue.

    Most odd.

    I wonder if it's because I had to use that MSFT account to form the first non-domain account on the machine, then attach it to the domain (I use essentials, so the new server connector job did that).

    EDIT:

    On that last point I turned the MSFT account into a local account, and for one machine it allows me to sign in. The other one it does not. Most odd.

    Yes, but that scares me. Suppose I do not wish to change my computer password for a PIN? That means I can't use Cortana?
