Windows 10: Can't login after switching old microsoft account with a new profile windows 11

Hi friends,I got an error that drive me nuts, I bought a new PC, I signed in in windows, add my windows key, brand new, I did not remember my old microsoft acc, so I created a new one and logged in. Now I went to profiles, Sign in with local acc instead, went back, try to sign in in Microsoft with the old account, add mail + pass, now at this step is asking to add my old microsoft password? I tought is the PIN I did the PIN, now is says oops something went wrong is out foult.Is nothing regarding the internet, this is a activated original windows 11 key and internet by cable no issues .

Switching between user accounts on Windows10 to make a different Microsoft account the new login account

Hi everyone,

I have a new Microsoft account and want to change the account that I use to log into my Windows10 laptop to this new Microsoft account.

I already found a pretty neat explanation on how to add a new local account, log into a Microsoft account on that and then make it the primary login for the laptop in the following

closed thread.

However, I have a few further - probably stupid - questions:

• Will I still be able to log into my old user profile that I had with my old Microsoft account, after making the new one the login account?
• Do I understand it correctly that the old account will then be a local user account and I would still be able to log in and move files, for instance?
• Or should I rather save all files to an external hard drive from the old profile, create the new one, sign into the new Microsoft account on it, make it the primary login account and then add all files from the external hard drive (and delete the old profile)?
  - I was planning to back up files on OneDrive, in any case.
  

Any help is much appreciated!

(In case my description of the problem doesn't make sense, please let me know and I'll try to re-phrase it.)

Thank you for your reply, appreciate the time taken by you in keeping us updated on the status of the issue.

Since the issue is still facing, you may try the below steps and check.

Step 1: Change your old account type from Microsoft account to Local account and then delete this old account by logging into some administrator account.

To switch to a Local Account follow these steps:

• Login to your old account.
• Press “Windows key +X”.
• Go to Settings
• Choose Accounts and then select Other User Accounts towards the left.
• You will get an option “Switch to a Local account” right below your user account name.
• Select “Switch to a local account” option.
• Enter the required details.

Step 2: Login to some other account which has administrator privilege and delete the old account.

• Click on Start and select
  Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now select Family & other users.
• Here you find your old account, just select and click on
  Remove.
