Windows 10: Cant login or get past wallpaper to enter password

Hi guys so im currently having a major issue with my Windows install. I was using it normally but after i installed a new battery windows refused to boot i was able to fix this with system repair and get it to boot but now when i boot it shows me the wallpaper i dont knows if i can describe it as the splash screen before i can enter my password or do anything. Now i can boot windows but cant login when i do anything it just sends me back to the same page over and over again i cant get past this splash screen to enter my password or even disable the passwords.I am running windows 10 and dual bo

No login password craziness

Brink, that was the missing step. What threw me off was in netplwiz, where it asks about password for my MS account, the user name was not the same as my MS account name. Once I entered the password (twice) I can now login without entering a password. In fact the name that was listed was not the MS account name, but a folder name. The folder is the one that shows when you click on C:\Users.

cannot login past logon wallpaper

Once I boot my computer up it will not go past the login wallpaper. There is nothing for me to type on screen to enter a password. The mouse works just fine, I can move it around with no problem. There are only three keys that work on the keyboard, control,
alt and the space bar only works for certain commands, no other keys are responsive. Every 15-30 seconds the wallpaper will pulse a brighter color but nothing will happen. I am able to boot into safe mode where everything works just fine.

 

Login hangs after entering password

Repro:

• Boot up Win 10 after latest update
• Enter correct password for Microsoft account
• Attempt to login

Result : Login freezes and I am not able to log in.

Hard boot is required.
