    I FOUND THE FIX FOR MINE!!

    Same thing happened to me, after I needed to boot in Safe Mode, and it wouldn't allow me to use my PIN number, and my Microsoft Password kept coming back as "incorrect password".

    Thankfully, in Vista days, I made a WINDOWS LIVE Account (for the live.com email) - and it was not the same password as my Microsoft Account. Thank goodness I had recorded it in an old Filofax, so I tried it instead, and BINGO - it worked.

    Anyone with this problem, try your WINDOWS LIVE password (if you never made one, borrow a friend's computer, make a Windows Live account first), then try using that to reboot.

    Hope that works for you (the Windows 10 Creator's Update has corrupted a lot of stuff on my computer too).

    I have tried login in to my computer on Windows 10 but it shows password is incorrect. I have followed the steps indicated but it is still showing that the password is incorrect. Please advise.
