Windows 10: Can't Login Win 10

    Can't Login Win 10


    I have recently updated my desktop just a normal minor thing - not from win 8 or anything.

    Since then I haven't been able to login. I get to the wallpaper page and can click with both mouse and keyboard to proceed to password. But here I am unable to do anything - mouse can only be moved and nothing can be input to the password. Both mouse and keyboard are connected and respond on my laptop.

    I have tried to unplug one of my monitors (dont ask why - Ive tried many things). With one monitor used I can input password and the loading seem to start - but after an hour I'd say nothing seem to be happening (it is not due to slowness).

    Unlike normally the internet connection is red. I don't know if this has anything to say.



    I would like to avoid having to factory reset as I have lots of data I'd like to keep.

    Any help is appreciated

    • Are you able to login to Microsoft Account on Web?

    • Have you installed any language pack?
    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

    Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

    • Are you trying to login to Microsoft account or local account?

    • If its Microsoft account are you able to login using the web interface?
    I suggest you to use the on-screen keyboard and try to login. Follow the steps below:

    Click on the Ease of Access icon at the right bottom of the screen and select On-screen keyboard and check if issue persists.

    Please get back to us with the results of the above instructions.

    Can't make it much clearer. When you first get a new PC with Win 10. You setup Windows login with password.
