Windows 10: Can't open certain apps on my Laptop

Hello,


I recently started having this problem where I can't open certain apps on my Laptop.

I don't know what is causing it but I've noticed it on 1. Task Manager 2. regedit


I've read somewhere that someone had a similar problem where they couldn't open anything as administrator.


One thing that I did was restart my laptop in safe mode and open task manager there and then when I restarted again

to go back into normal mode I was able to open it but then after a few minutes it stopped working again.


I also checked for any potential things harming my Laptop using awdcleaner nothing there.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!

Store Cache - Clear in Windows 8

 

Can someone just open a W10 support.

As a suggestion, it would be kinda cool if we could exclude certain thread categories from the "recent threads" list.
