Windows 10: Can't play Gears 5 after install

I installed Gears 5 from the store, I had to change the install location of windows store apps because my boot drive is not big enough. The game launched, but closed after a pop up that stated something about the game needing an update.

The update never started downloading and the play button for Gears 5 in the store stopped working. I tried resetting the Store through the App Settings panel and I tried repairing Gears 5 through the App Settings panel and neither worked. Now the game is installed on my hard drive and I cant run it and I can't uninstall it. The only option I have through the store is to reinstall the game, even though the whole game is already installed.

Is there a way I can make Windows see the game?
