Windows 10: Can't print emails from MS Mail in Windows 10 -- can print Word documents

    Can't print emails from MS Mail in Windows 10 -- can print Word documents


    This just happened yesterday, Oct 19, 2020. Have tried "fixing" the printer HP OfficeJet Pro by various means troubleshooting and uninstall/reinstall. Then tried printing from MS Mail on another computer on the same network -- successful. Therefore, changed to trying to fix the PC.


    PC in a Lenovo loaded with Windows 10 and using MS Mail via a fuse.net email client. Would have liked to migrate to Outlook, but no way to bring contacts along. So, had to settle for Mail. That was at least 6 months ago. Things have been great until yesterday!! So, I suspect maybe a faulty update install. But which? How can that be addressed?


    Would be nice if reinstalling the Mail app was a solution. But, would that affect current emails or contact lists/files?

    Printing Word Document

    Created a word document and saved it in Rich Text Format (.rtf). Will not print. Office 2007 program pops up and "suggests" I subscribe to Office 365. Just need to print or email this document....tried to convert to PDF, but is blocking my efforts.

    Any suggestions??

    Printing word docs

    I have windows 10 and Microsoft office 16.

    Suggestions did not work. I problem lies with emailed documents which are in word. New word documents print.

    The printer reads printing reports.

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.


    • Are you trying to print from the browser or the mail app?

    • Is the issue specific to printing emails?

    • Are you able to print documents and other email account without any issues?

    • Have you updated all the drivers including display drivers after upgrading to Windows 10?
    If not, I would suggest you to visit the manufacture website and download and install all the drivers and then try to print again.
