Windows 10: Can't re-activate Windows 10

So previously I had an activated Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system on my computer, but unfortunately I had to buy a new network card, because the previous one broke. After the change, Windows told me to activate Windows. I knew that my Microsoft account was connected to my PC, so I just had to sign in and re-activate it that way. But that wasn't successful.


Once I got to the Activation menu, I clicked Troubleshoot, signed in, typed my password and selected my PC and clicked Activate. But it couldn't activate it on this system. And it told me to try again, which I did many times now. I even waited a day to try it again but it's still the same. Any help on how to re-activate?

• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
