    Can't reactivate after hardware change

A month ago I replaced my motherboard, along with my processor and RAM. I had internet installed yesterday, which prompted Windows to give me the "Activate Windows" watermark.

The problem is, before I upgraded, I hadn't linked my device to my Microsoft account, and had no way of doing so since my motherboard quit working.

I got my copy of Windows 10 Home after it was released and I upgraded from Windows 7 for free.

Around 5 months ago, I upgraded from an HDD to an SSD, so I wrote down my product-key I found under "Activation," in case I had to reinstall Windows. I've tried using that product key, and it gives me an error.

I've tried running the troubleshooter multiple times, tried entering in the product-key multiple times, but it says the key is not a valid product key. I'm almost certain that I wrote down the right key, and the troubleshooter is no help.

I've looked for some sort of customer support live-chat but it just sets me up with the bot, and ends up running me in circles asking the same questions over and over again.

I feel like I'm hitting a dead end, and might just have to bite the bullet and purchase a product-key from the Microsoft store when I can afford it, but I figured I'd post here and see if anyone has any solutions.

Is there any way I'd be able to talk to a representative over live-chat, other than the dumb bot that asks me the same questions over and over?

    :)

  3. windows 10 reactivation after hardware change

I just changed motherboards, and When I follow the the steps listed in the "reactivate windows 10 after hardware change" support page, it gives me the message "unable to activate windows" message after I sign in and identify my device,
with no error code, just a subheader that says "can't activate windows 10 on this device, try again later."

Windows 10 won't reactivate after a hardware change

I changed a lot of the hardware on my device recently, however I followed the steps on the Microsoft support page to get my computer ready for the hardware change so that I could reactivate Windows 10 after I changed the hardware. However, now it won't reactivate,
and has the error code 0xC004F025, and when I try to troubleshoot it says "We can't reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later."

My Windows 10 was a free upgrade from Windows 7.
