Windows 10: Can't receive or send emails on Windows 10

I am currently using Windows 10 mail, and ever since 23 hours ago, I have not been receiving any mail. Any mail I try to send immediately goes to my Outbox. I am very upset because of this issue! I do not know what has happened, but I really would like this fixed.


Details:

- I am using Gmail on Windows 10.

- It will not say anything other than "Hold on while we fetch your email." Normally, it takes 5-10 seconds once I hit the refresh button to get my mail. Now, it will just stay on the phrase, "Hold on while we fetch your email."

- I keep pressing the refresh button and it keeps saying "Syncing," and that's it.


Please help me!!!

• Are you using Google Chrome to check your emails?
  
• Do you receive any error message?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?

• What type of email account are you using? (POP, IMAP or Exchange)
