    HelloPROBLEM: While I was saving a screenshot in July, a message popup I hadn't seen it before, and I'm 99% sure it wasn't a virus clicked Yes. Sorry,I can't remember the question..it possibly related to changing the default folder, which is downloads, not saving any in the future or maybe having more options to use 4 options -- rectangular, freedom shape, MS Windows full screenSince July, I haven't been able to save any screencaps using PrtScn or the keyboard shortcut. I've looked in many folders to see where it could possibly have been downloaded anywhere, such as download folder,, docum

    Where are screenshots saved?

    Hi Russell, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Steven and I'm an independent advisor.

    If you press PrtScn on the keyboard, the screenshot is saved in the clipboard. Once you press PrtScn, then open the Pain app (or Skype, etc), then hold down the ctrl + V on your keyboard, the screenshot will be pasted there.

    However if you want to take a screenshot of the whole screen, I suggest you hold down the Windows Key and Press PrtSc. In this case the screenshot will automatically be saved in the folder Pictures\Screenshots folder.

    How to take a screenshot

    Try:

    1. Windows key + Shift + S
    2. Windows key + PrtScn
    3. PrtScn alone. The screenshot will be saved in the clipboard.
