Windows 10: Can't save scanned documents

    Can't save scanned documents


    As with my previous post, when I scan a document with a Canon CanoScan 8800F and try to save it to an existing folder the screen/box pops up and says "Cannot save file. The location you want to save to is write protected. Remove the write-protection or use another disk." I'm not trying to save to a disk, but to an existing folder on my computer

    can't save files in windows 10

    Try to save a document to any folder and says I don't have permission. Can't scan a document to the scan folder. Says I am not the administrator.

    Cannot save scanned files in Documents folder

    Hi William,

    This might be a permission error. Were you able to save it on "Bills" folder before? When did this issue occur? Was it after an update? You can check the answer of
    hartml69 in this thread and see if the provided steps will
    work for you as well.

    Update us with the outcome so we can provide further assistance.
