    Can’t save word Documents to Google Drive on iPad


    I bought an iPad pro 2017 to make notes and write while on the go. But whenever I try to save a document to google drive - for which I spend £2.49 every month for 200GB, it comes up with the message “sorry something went wrong and this file can’t open”. Its very frustrating, someone please help.

    Word on Ipad.

    Hello, I bought an ipad which I now take to university to take notes with and use documents which my univeristy provides me with to use in class. I have an issue that some of my documents are in read only mode - and that the file is an older file format.
    How do I get the file to the right format ? I use google drive and I’m unable to save the documents to there. I’m also not able to save documents that I write on with my apple pencil on word to my google drive as I don’t get any options to save the documnets
    to google drive. Please could you help me.

    Thanks so much for your reply Charlie, it worked and I'm now able to change the documents out of read-only mode.

    I do have another question for you though, so I have an Apple pencil that I use to write on my word documents.

    But whenever I open a new documents that's blank and then write notes it, I'm never able to save it to Google Drive on my iPad. When I do and try save it, it processes it for a bit and then comes up with an error message saying " Sorry, something went wrong
    and this file can't open"

    Do you know why it wouldn't be saving? If you aren't able to help me I completely understand and thanks for all the help.
