Windows 10: Can't turn off App Mode Dark

Discus and support Can't turn off App Mode Dark in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I was playing around with Settings and accidentally turned on App Mode Dark and now I can't go back to App Mode Light because "App Mode" has completely...     Can't turn off App Mode Dark


    I was playing around with Settings and accidentally turned on App Mode Dark and now I can't go back to App Mode Light because "App Mode" has completely disappeared from Settings/Personalization/Colours. Does anyone know what the solution is please?

    Turn on dark mode for a specific app only

    Is it possible to turn on dark mode only for a specific app say CMD ? I don't want to set dark mode as my default app mode in settings. which will apply dark mode for most of the apps. I'm using Windows 10 Pro Build 1903.

    Yes you can, starting with version 1903 of Windows 10 turn on dark mode for most individual apps, but not for command prompt, because it is not a UWP app . . .

    Open the Photos App, click the 3 dots and choose Settings, from there you can set that apps individual mode to Light, Dark or System color settings, this is true of most of the UWP apps only . . .

    Turn on dark mode for a specific app only

    You can only turn on Dark Mode for specific apps, if that particular app is integrated with the feature and has the option to turn it on/off. This usually might be in form variety of Themes which you can select from.
