After re-boot: Can't type in Windows 10 password. Nothing happens when I type in password. it doesn't recognize the key strokes.


My solution to this problem, was to find out that a key on my keyboard was being inadvertently depressed by a small object. In my case, it was the Num Lock key.


Hope this helps someone else to avoid more complicated fixes.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: On-Screen Keyboard

You may use the accessibility options to pop open a on-screen keyboard and type the password from there to make sure you are typing the correct password.

Step 2:

If you see your email address listed there, it must be a Microsoft account. You will be able to reset the password and log in if your PC is connected to internet.

NO Internet - Wlan password change not possible!


I can only type a wlan password in win 10 if there is no password set. When there is a password set already, for a connection to a router, the option to type in a password doesn´t appear. That means i still can´t change the wlan password, so im not able to connect to my router and surf the internet.

Current password doesn t work incorrect. Reset password requirs some usb stick which is not in my posession. Any ideas ? Try to access microsoft account but non of my email adress is recognised so cannot try this option.
