    Can't uninstall update KB4517389 to fix issues


    I recently installed the patch KB4517389, which has caused all kinds of issues on my computer. I can no longer open Edge, my outlook email can no longer connect and my volume bar is now hidden. I imagine there are other issues that I haven't yet discovered. In researching, it seems clear that the patch is the issue. I have tried to uninstall if from the control panel. It will start uninstalling, but then I get this message. "An error has occurred. Not all updates were successfully uninstalled." I have also tried uninstalling it from safe mode. But that doesn't work either. I see that there is an option to reset - but I would lose all of my applications. Is there another option? Or another patch that will fix these issues.? The whole thing is quite frustrating. It seems like other people with this issue, were able to get things back to normal, by uninstalling, but I can't seem to.

    Can't uninstall KB4517389

    The problematic update is KB4517389

    Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update under Update History, then uninstall them from the link there - and error has occurred

    The new Uninstall Updates button in Advanced Troubleshoot Options - unable to uninstall update.

    System Restore from within Windows - it has been longer than 10 days

    Is there any other way to remove or reinstall the update correctly as it did not seem to install correctly?
