Windows 10: Cant update from 1803 to 1903

Hi,


I am unable to update my PC despite trying almost everything I know..... At this point, and having read the Microsoft community I have decided to seek the help of a professional like the post im following from Mr. Sumit.


I cannot "attach" files here nor can I copy & paste contents from log files in the Panther folder.....I have admin rights but refuses to let me read it.


Hope somebody can help point me in the right direction before being forced to re-install everything :

Win 10 1803 to 1903 update

My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1903 a while back, but my Desktop running Win 10 version 1803

I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1903 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

Any thoughts, suggestions?

 

Windows 10 Pro 1709 update to 1803, 1809 or 1903?

In theory your current settings will be delaying updates to a point where there should not be any stability or quality issues. All being well you will have a years worth of quality issues in that version fixed.

• If you want latest with potential teething troubles then go for 1903.
  
• 1809 has been out for more than 6 months so there should no longer be any show-stopping bugs or errors, everything should just work
  
• your current settings are postponing feature updates for 1 year and as a result you are offered 1803. This version should be solid, by now well tested and fairly mature.
  
  The version number of 1803 x64 2019-07B suggests that it is downloading it with all relevant updates to July 2019, meaning you are getting all the fixes without the problems of a newer "feature" update such as 1809 or 1903.
  

If you want best stability and least chance of issues then let it install the version it is proposing.

If you want to live on the edge then go for something newer.

If your system is mission critical and you have no backups then you want stability. If you want features but can tolerate a bit of risk then you want the latest.

 

Windows Home 10 update from 1803 to 1903

I have windows 10 x64 home edition, version 1803.

I'm trying to update it to the new onw, version 1903, but my pc freezes every time when the installation is going to finish (around 80%).

I tried to update the OS in different ways:

1. Start > Settings > Update
   & Security > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates.
   If updates are available, install them.
2. Download the Update Assistant
3. Download the Media Creation Tool 1903

The result is always the same.

No errors, only pc freezing.

What do you suggest to do?
