Windows 10: Can't update to 1903

I'm unable to complete the feature update to Windows 10, version 1903. I've tried multiple times using the Media Creation Center "Update this PC" and clean boot, disabled app startup, and disabled non-MS services (except Norton which won't stay disabled). I've also tried to disable IIS per guidance on another thread, but get an error that not all feature changes could be made and IIS ".NET Extensibility 4.7" and "Request Filtering" remain selected. I tried using the dism commands per the blog to make the features writeable and they complete but I still can't change IIS settings. Can anyone help me past the 60% complete rollback roadblock? I've captured Panther and Rollback log files but need help interpreting them.

Your suggested actions are very technical - hardly for 'the man in the street'

If I understand correctly, in simple terms, you are suggesting changing the path/method of obtaining the 1903 update but still installing it anyway -

Surely if the problem is actually with the 1903 update then the result will be the same problems irrespective of how it is applied?

Please could you clarify in simple terms, step by step, what your suggested actions actually do and how this may solve the problem.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows Feature Update 1903

Greetings! I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. The steps which you have undertaken to block updates won't work for any feature update. Feature updates need to be blocked temporarily by using different steps.

But, I will suggest that you should not try to stop 1903 feature update. Let it happen.
